Jennifer Lee's Photo Story

September 11th was the day of my sister Lim's engagement party. All the girls met at my cousin's house to get ready.

After caking on make up, my sister had to change her clothes into something more traditional. She was changing into a traditional Korean dress called a Hanbok.

She was eager to look in the mirror to see what she looked like. She was happy with the result. Quickly, she had to rush into the car (we were running late). Unfortunately, I was not able to take a picture of her getting into the car.

We finally arrived at Lai Lai's (Japanese Restaurant), where the engagement party was held. All eyes were on my sister and her finance, Andy. The speaker introduced each family and it was time for a word of prayer by both of the pastors from each family.

The pastors blessed each family and prayed for a happy future for Lim and Andy.

After the sermon and more prayer, it was time to exchange gifts. In the Korean culture, it is traditional for the bride to buy the groom a watch and vice versa. They both got each other Cartier watches.

Soon enough it was time for pictures. Each side of the family got to take numerous pictures with the future bride and groom.

Luckily, it was time to eat. After sitting up on stage for a while, Lim was starving. As you can tell, shrimp is her favorite food.

After stuffing her face, Lim started to sweat in her Hanbok. She wanted to go outside for a breather, so she lifted her dress. She yelled "FREEDOM!"

Finally, Lim and her fiance, Andy both said goodbye to all the guests and family members. However, their friends and close cousins decided to stay back to drink and have fun.
