So began the day in the Tyler State Park. Luna wasn't even 10 feet away from the car when she began her hunt.

They started down the main path.
After coming to a fork in the road, they decided on going onto one of the narrower trails.
A mile and a half later, it was time to turn back. The sun was beating down, pushing through the branches. And, we forgot our water in the car.
The girls had been waiting for my dad and me to catch up.
